Recently, I mentioned to a client the importance of showing their face and telling their brand story because it created a connection with their target audience that no big box store could ever compete with. It sparks that emotional reaction and builds a bond that people seek out.

Taking my own advice, I realized that I had been so caught up in completing my daily checklists that I was failing to connect with MY audience. I am so thankful that my business and community is growing and I love getting to know all of our supporters.

My name is Candace Parker, owner of Big Bunny Creative and graphic design nerd. Here are 10 things I’d like to share with you to break the ice, start a conversation and get you inspired!

  1. I named Big Bunny Creative after a cat. Yep.
  2. I graduated from Texas A&M University (WH08P!).
  3. I am a proud lefty.
  4. I have been a business owner since 2011 with my freelancing side gig “The Design Mama”.
  5. I will never say no to champagne.
  6. My son is my photographer for a lot of what you see on social media.
  7. I was a designer at Igloo for 3 years – yes, the cooler company!
  8. I wanted to be a vet or an art teacher growing up.
  9. I know how to code websites but do not enjoy it.
  10. I have been known to have a potty mouth.

Is any of this surprising? I hope that putting a face and a personality to my brand builds a stronger and more real connection with you! I am excited for this season in my life and look forward to showing more behind the scenes of my marketing passion in 2021.
